Kraftur® Project Team:

Challenges and Solutions:

Challenge: RCC proposed placing the ASRS area (10,200 m²) which involved trimming the subgrade between 250 pile caps, fixing nearly 825 tonnes of reinforcement, and pouring over 6000 m³ of concrete in 9 weeks due to structural steel being on hold as the critical path.

Solution: Kraftur® engaged two 12T excavators, three different steel-fixing subcontractors, and two concrete pumps to achieve this within 9 weeks. The programming, resourcing, and execution were managed by the Kraftur® construction team to ensure that works of the highest quality were delivered under tighter deadlines. This was a significant milestone for both Kraftur® and RCC.

Challenge: There was a substantial delay in the scope of the plumbing contractor at the North corridor of external pavements due to the installation of a 3 km long drain/stormwater pipeline. RCC proposed that the Kraftur® crew push for an average of 36 pours, each approximately 600 m², in May 2024 over 24 working days.

Solution: As usual, Kraftur® welcomed the challenge and managed to deploy three sets of external crew for May. By streamlining procurement and coordinating multiple crews of steel-fixing subcontractors, they completed 38 pours, thereby accelerating the programme and hand-over date for the head contractor. The Kraftur® site team did a fantastic job managing all three crews, ensuring that the pavements were delivered to the highest quality standards.
