THE SKILLS SHORTAGE IS ALREADY ONSITE

KRAFTUR® HAS A SOLUTION

CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION NEEDS MORE THAN MORE TRADIES

Skills are in short supply. But getting people into construction is only part of the job. Before new workers can safely contribute, they need practical training and real site experience.

For people trying to get in, the problem runs the other way: you need experience to get a start, and a start to get experience. That gap has consequences beyond recruitment. It places more pressure on experienced crews, increases the time required to bring new people up to speed and limits the workforce depth available for future projects. Building the next construction workforce means developing capability from the beginning, not waiting for it to appear later.

Kraftur® Bootcamp provides the start.

OUR SOLUTION: KRAFTUR® BOOTCAMP

BUILT AROUND REAL WORK KRAFTING STRONG FUTURES

Kraftur® Bootcamp is designed to tackle both sides of the problem: give people a genuine entry into  concrete construction and build better-prepared workers for the industry. Commercial concrete construction offers a rewarding career with strong earning potential, if candidates can first get their foot in the door.

Launching this October, Kraftur® Bootcamp brings together live project experience, structured training, specialist mentoring and purpose-built learning in one four-week paid program. Built from the realities of  concrete construction, the program develops practical capability while creating stronger pathways for the next generation entering our industry.

The program moves deliberately between facilitated learning and supervised site experience. Participants learn the foundations, apply them on live projects and build their understanding through feedback from experienced Kraftur people. Interactive online learning supports that process between training and site days, giving participants access to structured content they can continue referring to throughout the program.

Bootcamp is the front door to a bigger pathway: real-world experience, specialist skills and a career in concrete construction.

From there, participants can continue building their capability through formal qualifications in concreting or formwork, specialist trade and plant skills, and eventually crew leadership or supervisory roles. Not everyone will follow the same path. Bootcamp gives people a practical starting point, exposure to the industry and a clearer understanding of where a career in commercial concrete construction could take them.

Participants build capability across workplace health and safety, communication and teamwork, measurements and plan reading, levels and site set-out, concrete construction fundamentals, tools, plant and equipment, and the behaviours expected of a high-performing construction crew.

Relevant training aligns with Certificate II Units of Competency, giving participants a foundation they can continue building on.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR CLIENTS

MORE CAPABILITY. SAME KRAFTUR® STANDARD.

Our clients rely on Kraftur® to deliver to a higher standard.

Bootcamp gives us a structured way to develop people in the skills, systems and standards required on real projects, while seeing how they perform onsite, respond to feedback and work within a crew. It helps build greater capability across our industry while strengthening the workforce depth behind the projects we deliver.

For clients, that means more than increasing the number of people available onsite. It means developing workers around the same expectations that shape every Kraftur project: safety, systems, quality, productivity and crew performance. It also strengthens the pipeline of people available for the commercial concrete projects and infrastructure our industry will need to deliver in the years ahead.

Better-prepared people. A stronger industry. The same Kraftur® standard. That’s A Concrete Advantage.

If you have upcoming commercial concrete works, we’d welcome the opportunity to talk about how Kraftur® can support your project – chat to our team.
