Overview
Kraftur® securing and completing one of the major industrial development for Port of Brisbane working with McNab i.e., ArrowTransport from footings to crossovers. Kraftur® successfully delivered place and finish solutions from footings to crossovers for circa >26,000m2 of 300mm thick post tensioned heavy duty container pavements and 8,000m2 of warehouse with offices.
Key Highlights
- Placed concrete to retaining wall footings and workshop area
- 8,000 m2 of internally laid burnished concrete slabs for facility, amenities area and main offices
- Placed concrete to workshop area
- Screeding high fibre mix to post-tensioned 330mm thick heavy-duty pavements to >26,000 m2 of estate in early morning starting works from 2:30am.
- Laid another 7,000m2 of stack pavements, footpaths, sprinkle tanks and light duty pavements
- Completed the job by pouring 4 crossovers and sign footings.

Challenges and Solutions
Challenge: Programming challenges to principal contractor due to weather conditions.
Solution:
- Kraftur® manage to offer consultation on PT designs, manage early morning pours with crew and delivered successful placing to all heavy-duty hardstands in checker style solution.
- Kraftur® offered solution to change EDJ6 (Lesa type G joint) to Lesa Type B joint with full separation plate for enabling crew to pour over and still support engineering requirements.
- Kraftur® offered solution of using Piekko EXA joint to reduce number of pours for 230 stack container
area and accelerate the principal contractor’s programme.
